• It is not allowable to accept any code not in the pre-defined valid entry values for that field

• Each statistical unit data shall be consistent with other units according to the technical rules applied to it

• Audit reports for compliances and consistency shall check all the relations and rules in this document and this is part of data quality check process.

• All numbers shall be in English

• All date fields shall be in the format DD/MM/YYYY

• If the field is of type date and the data = unknown then that date value shall be 31/12/9999

These validation rules are restricted to the common fields between students and students after graduation statistical units. Below are the rules:

1. Comparing the civil No. for the person

2. If this person has a record in the student data after graduation then there shall be a record for him in the institute data for the academic year he graduated  in

3. If civil No. is equal in the two statistical units then HEI name (that he graduated from), his full name (four parts), gender and date of birth shall also be equal.

Validation Rules for students Data in different years

 The comparison of student information among different year is based upon comparing the student civil no. as this is the unique number on year’s level.Below is the list of validation rules:

1. If the student had a record in the previous academic years and his case was = new , returning or current student then he shall has a record in the next year

2. If the student had a record in the previous academic years and his case was = left study and the reason was = death or academic failure or fired from institute then this student shall not have a record in the next year in the same HEI

3. If the student record showed in two successive years and both have equal qualification aim and main subject of qualification then the student level in the next year shall be more than or equal the value of previous year 

4. If the student record showed in two successive years and both have equal qualification aim and main subject of qualification then the following information shall be the same (Student identifier, data source ID, first name … forth name, gender and date of birth)

 5. If the civil no. was equal in two successive years then first name … fourth name, date of birth and gender shall be equal
